As the newly crowned South African Mini Max Champion, Leyton Fourie, has gained entry to the 2017 Rotax MAX Challenge Grand Final to be held in Portugal between 4 and 11 November.

The youngster has had a sterling season and is looking forward to putting his skills to the test against the best karters in the world. Leyton will be the only South African in the Mini Max class which will comprise of 36 entries from 30 different countries.

Leyton has already completed a successful test session at the Algarve circuit in Portimao and his confidence is at an all-time high.

“It is an honour to be able to represent South Africa at this event and I am grateful to everyone who has made this dream come true. Without the support of my family and the Roos Kart team, this wouldn’t have been possible. I am going to the finals to win, for my team, my country and to prove to myself that I can compete with the best in the world,” commented Leyton.
