The first round of the 2018 National Rotax Championship takes place at Idube this weekend and Leyton Fourie will be looking to lead the Junior Max charge in his Bidvest Compendium Insurance Brokers backed Tony Kart.

Leyton competed in a regional event at Idube recently, topping the time sheets with a pole position, race win and two second place finishes. This served as a great practice for the National and bodes well for Leyton’s championship campaign.

“I am excited for this weekend and whilst I know I will be against some strong competition, I have the pace to run at the front of the pack. Thank you to RKT, my amazing team and Ricki Perdigo for giving me a competitive kart. Further thanks go to Bidvest Compendium Insurance Brokers for their backing and of course to my family for their support,” commented Leyton.

It’s going to be an action packed race, but the 2017 South African Mini Max championship is sure to give 100% and fight his way to the front of the field.
