Leyton Fourie is a young up and coming racer who has achieved great success in a very short amount of time.

His first foray into motorsport was in 2012, when he began his karting career in the Cadet class. It didn’t take Leyton very long to find his “feet” and he finished second in the Northern Regions Championship the very next year.

2014 saw Leyton move up to the Vortex Mini Rok Category. This class is particularly competitive and Leyton began to hone his race craft. At just 9 years old, Leyton achieved his first overall victory at a race event.

In 2015, Leyton achieved two more overall race day victories as he continued to make strides in the karting fraternity; it was however in 2016 that South African Motorsport saw just what Leyton was capable of. After four 1st overall finishes, Leyton became the 2016 South African Rok Cup Champion and was invited to race in the Mini Rok World final in Italy. He drove his boots off and placed in the top 50 of the 175 entries. Quite an achievement considering many of the competitors were not only older than Leyton, but also had far more experience.

Leyton continues to shine in Mini Rok and is becoming quite familiar with racing at the front of the pack. He has finished third in the 2017 National championship and currently holds the number three spot in the Northern Regions standings.

As if this wasn’t enough, Leyton also competed in and won the 2017 South African Mini Max Championship, the 2017 Northern Regions Mini Max Championship and the 2017 African Open Mini Max title.
